Since Spenser Moore replaced Blackburn I’ve frankly appreciated Inferi far more. I feel that his drumming improves the overall sound of the band a great deal, but it’s probably just a personal style preference. Either way, Of Sunless Realms was a great foreshadowing of the epic Vile Genesis.

An absolutely tremendous geyser of riffs washes over you for the length of the album. It’s unbelievably technical but in a pretty different way than the Tech Death bands of today. Most of they’re label mates for example are bringing the noise in the form of the new Ultra Tech standards of today. Aronious somehow pushes further by altering the style. It’s quite impressive and submerses you in a vat of Tech Metal fun.
